Finally the former Prime minister has declared he is running for the 5th time for presidency. In simple terms gloves are off since the Deputy President had already declared himself as a presidential candidate come August 2022. The launch of Azimio la Umoja Movement leaves the likes of Wanjigi in suspense as he is also an Orange Democratic Party presidential candidate. As the Prime Minister refers to the deputy president, "Ruto ni kitu kidogo" August 2022 will seal the deal of who is small among the two. 

Currently the presidential candidates are two, we are still not sure about the other contenders in the presidential run. Azimio la Umoja Movement Vs UDA in my own opinion the Prime ministers party will carry the day. The movement will be a coalition bringing together different parties while UDA seems to be doing the opposite as it insists on any party which wants to join should fold its party and become a member of UDA.

The event at Kasarani Stadium that brought ODM supporters together, was a sign of the change of tides as there were also other party members and also cabinet ministers from the government. Raila famously referred to as 'Agwambo" will run for the 5th time. What i am certain the last silver bullet will work effectively this time for the former Prime minister. Deputy president will be beaten hands down by the former Prime Minister Raila will be the 5th president of Kenya.
